Doctor-Led Performance Training in Foster City, CA
Performance training is for people who are already healthy and want to get better: stronger, faster, more powerful, and more durable. At Integral Chiropractic, every session is 60 minutes, one-on-one with the doctor, combining a training program built for your goals with recovery tools like shockwave therapy and soft tissue work. Your normal is the starting line, not the finish line.
Whatis performance training?
Rehab gets you back to normal. Performance training takes you past it. It’s a structured, progressive program of strength, power, speed, mobility, and conditioning work, designed around your sport or goals and guided by a doctor who understands how your body moves.
Performance training is mainly exercise-based. What makes it different from working with a personal trainer is the clinical side: your program is built from a movement assessment, adjusted around any joint or tissue issues, and supported by recovery care in the same session.
Performance training vs. rehab therapy:
| Rehab Therapy | Performance Training | |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Injured, post-surgery, or in long-term pain | Healthy and pain-free |
| Goal | Get back to normal | Go beyond your normal |
| Focus | Mobility, stability, everyday strength | Strength, power, speed, and conditioning |
| Exercise intensity | Gentle and progressive | Challenging and sport-specific |
| Session | 60 minutes, one-on-one with the doctor | 60 minutes, one-on-one with the doctor |
Your performance training program:
- Performance assessment: Strength, mobility, balance, and sport-specific movement testing to find your limiting factors.
- Goals you can measure: A faster race time, a heavier lift, a longer drive, more energy on the court, or simply feeling strong at any age.
- A program built for you: Exercises chosen for your sport, your body, and your schedule.
- Recovery built in: Shockwave therapy and soft tissue work to help you handle more training.
- Retesting: We remeasure regularly so you can see your results.
